Consider a research topic that would be of interest to you. To better understand that topic, design a research study. What would you be investigating and what method would you use? How would your study be set up?
Have you read of any research studies that were not appropriately discussed in a media outlet? Such as, did you read an article online or in a magazine that discussed a study and misstated the results? Consider possible examples where correlational studies were inappropriately discussed in causal terms (remember – correlation does not equal causation!).
