Paper details For this week’s Engagement Activity I am asking you to do two things: First, pick a social media platform (preferably one you use and enjoy). After you’ve done that, go find that platform’s terms of service, end user license agreement, legal agreement, or licensing agreement (sometimes this is linked under a section simply referred to as “legal”). Take a quick read over this information (you don’t have to read the entire document).
If you use the platform, you have agreed to these terms. Second, find something in the terms that you find surprising, concerning, or confusing. In your post, state which social media platform you chose and describe your thoughts/confusion/concerns. Share either a copy/pasted quote or a screenshot of the exact text you chose to discuss. Consider this week’s lectures and readings and connect your reactions to what you learned from the platform’s policies. Finally, include a link to the policies.
