“Feminist Criticism (Chapter 8) is easy to master. Read Chapter 8 in the Textbook and two stories assigned: “The Lady with the Dog” and “If I Were a Man.” Practice applying Feminist Criticism to the two stories. Explain to me how and why the Feminist mode of criticism could help you talk and write about these stories. What issues in the stories are women’s (feminist) issues? You will write two pages explaining it (one page for each story). This is an informal assignment, but it does need a title (for each story). Otherwise, you are simply explaining how Feminist criticism can be useful in discussing the stories.”
