Mestizo music in Latin America combines Indigenous, European and African musical traits to create new regional genres and new instruments. How does a typical Mestizo ensemble reflect these different origins? What types of traditional instruments are common? What types of newly created instruments might you hear and how do they reflect this fusion of cultures?
