For this assignment you will draw from the knowledge you have gained about the criminal justice system thus far and design a policy to address an issue or problem within the criminal justice system.

1. Identify an issue or problem within the criminal justice system. Clearly define and discuss what the issue is, why it is problematic, and who it impacts.
2. Present a solution to the problem, or a way to reform the criminal justice system to solve the issue. This does not have to be a new or innovative method or technique, you can draw from methods that have worked in other city, states, or countries. Incorporate at least 2 of the course readings into your assignment. These can be any of the course readings we have covered so far, and can be used to support your discussion of the issue or the discussion of the solution or reform policy.
   1. Clearly discuss:
      1. what the solution addresses
      2. who will be impacted and how by this solution or reform measure
      3. how it will be implemented
      4. some potential barriers, challenges, or collateral consequences.
3. Incorporate at least 2 of the course readings into your assignment. These can be any of the course readings we have covered so far, and can be used to support your discussion of the issue or the discussion of the solution or reform policy.
4. Your assignment must be 2-3 pages, double-spaced, 12 pt. Times New Roman Font. Submit your assignment in the assignment folder on Blackboard. Your name MUST be on your assignment. You will be marked down if there is no name on the assignment. You MUST include a works cited or Reference section to cite the course readings.
