I’m studying for my Management class and don’t understand how to answer this. Can you help me study?

1.In my opinion, servant leadership is one of the profound things that exists in for leaders in an organization. It is doable as well because a leader can also be a servant as he can teach all his juniors or employees working in his department from all the experience he/she has achieved. Being a servant in an organization means having good customer service at the same time helping the juniors where they need help. Being an experienced leader is also helpful to the organization (Lussier & Achua, 2012).

A leader can serve you with helping the employees in a basic manner by helping them grow out a bubble to perform the best from their side. The leader has to also listen to the employees and the problems being faced by them and to help them understand that he can serve the followers and take lead of the employees (Lussier & Achua, 2012).

2.As per my opinion I am agree that Servant leadership emphasizes being able to serve and lead also servant leadership is achievable. As we know that Servant actually devote themselves to serving the needs of the organization members, Servant leadership focus on meeting and the needs of those they lead, develop employees so that they can bring out the best among them, They coach others as well as encourage their self-expression, Alos facilitate personal growth in all who actually work with them (Greenleaf in 1970 ).Servant leadership is linked to ethics, virtues, and morality and have more concerned on their followers . I believe and agree that Servant leadership emphasizes being able to serve and lead and it is doable because it is defined as servant leadership is the administration that rises above self-interest to serve the requirements of others, by helping them become professionally and personally. Though some may see these two ideas of authority as synonymous and use them conversely, they are not precisely indistinguishable. While it sparkles the focus on adherents, servant leadership goes above and beyond. Worker initiative requires the largest amount of magnanimity a level that some uncertainty exists in this present reality. Servant leadership is generosity for others without respect to what one might get in return. The leader settles on a cognizant choice to hold devotees in high respect, is headed to serve, not to be served.

3.Describe the different generations that make up what some people refer to as “generational diversity” and identify their unique characteristics. What are the implications of generational diversity on effective leadership?

Generational diversity states that a group of people defined by age boundaries, those who were born during a specific era, share a similar experience in growing up, and their values and attitudes tend to be similar. Specifically, it surveys the fundamental distinctions between employees across different age groups as well as highlights the profits of leveraging and capitalizing on the rate of generational diversity. Also, it presents strategies to overcome the challenges of generational diversity in the workplace. Each group has a different method around work-life balance, employer loyalty, and other vital issues related to the organization, all of that have a meaningful impact on the workplace.

The different generations that makeup what people refer to generational diversity are as follows:

a. Traditionalist: These people are born in-between period of 1900-1945

b. Baby Boomers: These people are born in-between period of 1946-1964

Technically these people are now retired but serve as a partner, advisors, or senior support staff in the company. Its generation determined and not afraid of going to the distance to achieve success due to their upbringing during those days where simple survival was challenging.

b. Baby Boomers: This generation is disciplined, goal centric, and has strong work ethics. They possess rational decision-making ability due to the experience they have gained during their careers. As baby boomers have raised in very disciplined households, therefore, are responsible and mature.

b. As Millennials are believed to be non-disciplined, therefore young leaders are likely to experience some setbacks for their decisions.

c. Traditionalist or Baby boomers can show non-cooperation to the leaders from Generation X or Millennials due to their difference in decision making, technological advancement, etc.

4.A “generational accomplice” is depicted by scholarly specialists, for example, Zemke, Raines and Filipczak, as “gatherings of individuals who offer birth years, history and aggregate character because of their characterizing encounters.”

These personality markers are in no way, shape or form dependable, anyway many contend that they can assist individuals with seeing how shared educational encounters modified during the formative long periods of 5 to 18–can influence individual basic beliefs. In 2010 the three generational associates regularly distinguished in workplaces are known as the “children of post war America,” “Age X” and the “Millennial’s,” some of the time alluded to as “Age Y.”

As indicated by Sherman, “children of post war America” (1946-1964) grew up being “urged to esteem their independence and convey what needs be imaginatively.” Today they are known for their solid hard working attitude, commitment, administration direction, group point of view and experience.

The “Age X” (1963 to 1980) partner is noted for estimation of confidence, pioneering soul and work-life balance, affected by the way that they experienced childhood in a period of rising separation rates, monstrous corporate cutbacks and advances in innovation. “Millennial Generation” (1980 to 2000) laborers are distinguished as worldwide in experience and viewpoint, tolerating multiculturalism and immediate correspondence as a lifestyle. In the work place they are characterized by aggregate activity, hopefulness, mechanical skill and performing various tasks capacities

A diverse team provides the opportunity for the unique strengths of each team member to be leveraged. The greater the diversity, the greater the breadth of strengths available. Each diverse team member has strengths that can compensate for the shortcomings or blind spots of other team members.
