Names three ways experimentalism in the Beatles’ music increases during the period encompassing 1965 and 1966.
Using these three questions as your general guide, write an essay in which you discuss the band?s growing maturity as musicians and public figures in the period from late 1963 through the summer of 1966. Your essay should draw only on the material presents in lectures, the assigned readings, and the discussion in your discussion sections. You should not make use of other sources (books, articles, online material)!
Obviously, your essay will need to include some discussion of a handful of songs, but you should also make an attempt to relate the Beatles’ musical activity to some of the leading social issues of the time as discussed in lectures and the textbook.
