Review, as necessary, all the topics we’ve learned so far in digital marketing over the last 5 weeks and also for Week 6.
Now, select an expert or personal brand using digital marketing tools for promoting themselves as an expert or for promoting their personal brand. Examples include (not an exhaustive list): doctor, lawyer, realtor, chef, religious leader, public speaker, artist, author, celebrity, politician, etc.
Look through their digital content (website, podcast, social media, online ads, etc.) and find things these experts or personal brands are doing that relate to concepts from Weeks 1-6 textbook readings and course materials.
For this blog, find at least two concepts from the first 5 weeks.
And then, do a brief analysis of their digital copywriting based on Chapter 9 from the textbook and inbound marketing efforts based on Week 6 slides. For example, how well did they do with following best practices for online copywriting and with using SEO keywords?
What to write:
In a well developed blog (one with an introduction, body, and conclusion), write about what you learned. I’m leaving it up to you to come up with how you do that. For example, are you going to tie it to your personal/professional experiences? Will you talk about what you plan on doing with the information you learned to advance your own personal brand? What personality will you choose when writing (serious, humorous, etc.)? Are you going to focus on the things that connected to you the most? Whatever you write about and how you write, just ensure that you at least cover the following:
Brief info about the expert or personal brand and why you chose them.
Two concepts you learned from the first five weeks that ties to what this expert or personal brand does in their digital marketing strategies.
A brief analysis of digital copywriting and inbound marketing efforts.
Write content with your audience (your intructor and classmates) in mind. Talk about things that would make sense to us since we’re all learning about digital marketing.
While there is no minimum/maximum word count requirement, I am looking for writing that has substance and depth as opposed to writing that’s just “going through the motions.”
Please ensure that you check writing mechanics like spelling, grammar, and punctuation use.
