My name is CH (CPT) Jones, Pamela I am from the 22nd Chemical Battalion and I am the Chaplain over two Soldiers in the United States Army named PFC Noor, Atal and PV2 Atal, Muzamil. I am reaching out in regards to the Atal family; recently LTC Hurd, George D. has sent many emails, phone request, and meetings within the last year and a half to request to help Mr. Sadullah Achakzai who is currently stuck in Afghanistan with his wife Pasha Atal and there three kids for the last year. The Atal family has been in the United states since 2009 starting with the Mr. Turially Atal who is the brother; 2015 Parents Ali Jan Atal; Gul Pari Rahimi; and two Soldiers Noor and Muzamil who have been in the military since October 2021. As you see there is a legacy family who has not only came to the United States but has work very hard to maintain by supporting family.
I appreciated the continued help and support to assist the Atal family. Mr. Sadullah is an officer Afghan border police and his house and everything that he had worked for in trying to build a legacy for his family had destroyed; the Taliban is also trying to kill him. As I was reflecting today I spoke about everything has a time and perspective in order to change proper and a favorable mind set. Sometimes in life we struggle so much and this family is going through that struggle. I want to convince you that this is no ordinary family. But they are a family of hard work and resilience; individually we can to so little but together we can do so much. If we can set up a phone conference that would be great.
